Parents didn't seem to like me

Ever since I was 12, my parents didn't seem to like me, and what I thought was dislike turned out to be hatred. So I started emailing Kids Helpline because I couldn't deal with actually talking to someone. But after getting to know my counsellor I started to feel comfortable around them and I confronted my parents and now we're better.
