Spreading rumors
13 year old female
When I was in year 6, there was this mean girl who didn't like me because of an argument in year 5. She started spreading rumours about me, calling me names, getting my friends to gang up on me and hate me, too. Soon, I didn't have any friends, and my old ones had started telling everyone to stay away from me because I was a freak.
I had no friends, my parents were always busy at work, and my brother and sister were too young to understand. I couldn't tell my teachers or anything, because the mean girl was a goodie two shoes, and would dob me in on something.
Then I started hanging out with some year 7's in my class. They were really nice, but they had different opinions on things and different hobbies to me. I hung out with them for about 3 to 4 months, then I stopped. The bullying had gone to the next level. The mean girls made up things, told things to my new friends, and they started calling me things like freak, midget and retard. I had no more friends, again.
Then everything changed. My parents got me a little Maltese puppy. I took him out on walks everyday. Suddenly, I didn't care about the bullying anymore. If I ever felt sad, I would hug my puppy and feel happy again. He was my lifeline, and still is. He hauled me out of the big hole that I was stuck in, and gave my life a meaning again. I still have him, my little puppy who is always brimming to the top with happiness and slobbery dog kisses. Now, my grades have gotten better, I made new friends and put the past behind me. The worst part was finally over, and everything had finally gotten better.
