Bullied by best friend (12 year old girl)
When I started Year 7 I made a friend who I thought was going to be my BFF. Soon after she started to frame me and blame me for things that she did. I didn't know what I did to offend her and make her act this way. Every week the bullying would get worse, and no matter how much I stood up for myself, what I said just spurred her on to bully me more. She'd start to say I was a failure and started teasing me about wearing glasses.
Every day I'd come home feeling absolutely terrible. I was at my wits end one day when the bully started saying that I liked a boy that I actually didn't. She would carry on and say I was looking at him when I was looking in the opposite direction, and threatened to spread it around. The day after I was reading a magazine and saw the Kids Helpline number. I thought I might try and ring and see what happens. I didn't think they would help so much. My counsellor helped me think of solutions to the bullying problem and eventually after the call I felt much better. Thanks so much Kids Helpline!!!
