Being Strong

Sometimes the strong thing to do is to ask for help
Sometimes kids (and grownups!) have problems that are just too big to handle themselves. Part of being strong is recognising when you are able to sort something out yourself and when you need help. Not speaking up when bad things are happening to you, your friends or your family can make you feel small, weak and/or scared. It can take a lot of courage and strength to speak up and let someone who CAN help you, know what's going on. Who would you tell if something that felt too big to handle on your own was happening to you?

If something is happening in your life that feels too big to handle by yourself, or if you would like to talk some more about being strong, you can call Kids Helpline on 1800 55 1800, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week or use our web or email counselling services. We will listen to you and help you work out what might help.
