Kids Helpline @ School Sessions
The Federal Department of Health and Ageing has funded Kids Helpline to deliver Kids Helpline @ School to primary schools across Australia. Kids Helpline @ School offers classroom sessions with our counsellors. A total of 630 sessions are available until 30 June 2012.
The aim is to give students the opportunity to talk with a counsellor about any issue important to them, their class and their school. They will also learn about help seeking.
Teachers will be able to work with the Kids Helpline Counsellor to develop the session topic. We have also provided some sample activities and resources you can undertake to prepare your class for the session.
The sessions are available either via a video or skype link or over the phone.
After the session, we ask each teacher and class to complete a short survey to help us identify the effectiveness of the activity.
More information is available in our classroom activities and our session guidelines. To make a booking for a Kids Helpline @ School session click here.
